ZYZZYVA offers editorial internships at our San Francisco office throughout the year. The internships are unpaid, and applications are considered on a rolling basis. The internships focus on editorial assistance, online feature writing, social media management, and general office support. The part-time internships last three months. Due to the pandemic, applicants no longer have to be local to the San Francisco Bay Area to take part in the internship, although there may be additional tasks available to local applicants.

All applicants should possess excellent writing and research skills, have a sharp eye for detail, and should be pursuing a career in professional writing or publishing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline oriented, and passionate about the world of letters and its presence on the West Coast. Interns are expected to contribute regular fine arts (book, theater, art) reviews and other features to the ZYZZYVA blog.
