Following the Desire: Virtual Workshop with R.O. Kwon

Ticket sales end: February 27, 2025
About this workshop
Kwon believes that, in every line of our writing, desire can and perhaps ought to be present, which seems truthful to living as we know it: We want and want, and the characters Kwon writes do so, too. Desire is so central to her fiction that it supplies much of a book’s or story's shape: she listens for and follows what her characters want, and, pulled along, finds a world. In this two-and-a-half-hour workshop, participants will look at desire-fueled writing and will dream up some of their own.
R.O. Kwon is the author of the nationally bestselling novel Exhibit, a New York Times Editors’ Choice. Kwon’s bestselling first novel, The Incendiaries, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle John Leonard Award and the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Prize. With Garth Greenwell, Kwon co-edited Kink, a New York Times Notable Book. Kwon’s books have been translated into seven languages and named a best book of the year by over forty publications.
